Whether you’re an experienced distance runner, or run as just part of your overall exercise routine, you need to come join us for our free running clinic on Wednesday, October 30th. By most estimates, nearly 70 percent of runners will become injured. While many of their injuries will appear minor, they can become more serious over time if not properly treated. Running injuries may impact other areas of the body as well. We want to help stop or minimize this.
Paul Erwin, DPT, of Hershey Orthopedic and Spine Rehab and CrossFit 717, and Bob Gorinski, DPT, of Cardin and Miller Physical Therapy in Mechanicsburg, will be providing a special running clinic on Wednesday, October 30th. It will be held at CrossFit 717 in Lemoyne (location info for CrossFit 717 is HERE). The clinic, which will be informative but also FUN, will go from 5:30-6:30pm, with a workout from 6:30-7:30pm.
Topics covered will be:
1. Basic Anatomy
2. Running Mechanics
3. Common problems and training errors
4. Treatment Options
5. Footwear Considerations (yes, we’ll discuss minimalist shoes – everyone is asking these days!)
6. Strength Training and Mobility Considerations
You will get advice from professionals that you can apply immediately to your running and training. And after the presentation itself, stay to enjoy a fun and challenging workout with a great community of people!
This is open to the public – so if you know anyone who may benefit from this or is interested please pass on the word!
