  1. How did you get started with CrossFit? A friend of mine from school joined Crossfit in Lancaster and kept bugging me to check it out.  I obviously had no interest in going to Lancaster.  But, I decided after I graduated, that I would check into it and see what I could find around here.
  1. How long have you been at CrossFit 717? It will be 2 years in November.
  1. What are your favorite exercises/WODs? Anything that gives variety.  I always thought the deck of cards wod was fun even though it is never easy!
  1. What exercises/WODs do you dislike? EMOMs and burpees.
  1. What are you goals with regards to CrossFit and what accomplishments/PRs are you most proud of? I just want to be healthy and be able to do more/better than I could the day before.  I ran in the Harrisburg mile a few weeks ago.  My time wasn’t anything special but I finished it and that’s more than I could’ve done a few years ago!
  1. In your perfect world, what would you be doing in 10 years? Dream answer – Sitting on a beach drinking pina coladas.  Realistic answers – Professionally, working at a fertility center helping couples have babies.  Personally, happily married and taking care of my two kids.
  1. Where did you go to high school/college? Cumberland Valley for high school.  West Chester for Undergraduate and Widener University for graduate.
  1. What is your current occupation? Nurse Practitioner
  1. If you could eat dinner with 3 people past or present, who would you choose and why?  Furthermore, what would you order for dinner? This was the absolute hardest question to answer.  I only came up with one because I couldn’t choose just two others.  But, I would definitely say my Mom’s Dad.  He passed away before I was born so I never got to meet him – always wondered what he was like.  One of my favorite restaurants is Black & Bleu.  I would go there, get a steak salad and order the blue cheese fondue!
  1. Who is your celebrity crush? Probably Channing Tatum – he’s incredibly hot!
  1. What is your favorite movie and why? Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.  It’s a classic!
  1. What is your favorite thing about CrossFit 717? The people that go there.  Everybody has always seemed so nice, encouraging, and just always willing to help you improve to reach your goals – it’s awesome!

  1. If you could have any car, what would you choose? Audi A3 Cabriolet – Red with Black roof.  It just looks like fun to drive!
  1. Tell us something interesting about yourself that we would be surprised to know. I asked my sister for her thoughts on this one.  Her first response was that I’m an awesome gift giver.  Every gift I give is always well thought and meaningful to the person.  I often try to either make them laugh or cry.  On a totally separate note, I have one major addiction that once you know me, you’ll realize it pretty quickly – chapstick.  You’ll pretty much never see me without at least 1, 2, or maybe even 10 on me at any given time!
  1. What kind of shampoo do you use and why? Suave – it smells good.
  1. Have you ever been out of the country? If so, where and what was your favorite place? Technically yes but only to Canada.  I’d prefer somewhere tropical over Canada any day!
  1. What were your best and worst subjects in school? I was always good in science.  History was probably my worst.
  1. What would you say is your worst personality trait and why? Probably a lack of confidence in myself.  I tend to doubt my abilities in many things, especially things I’m not comfortable with.  I think others often have more confidence in me than I do.

  1. If you won $100 million in the lottery, what would you do with the money?  What is the first frivolous thing you would buy? Pay off my debts, pay off my families’ debts.  I would quite possibly quit working temporarily and travel.  I’m not sure that I’d buy anything crazy – maybe treat myself and travel first class???
  1. You are banished to a deserted island for a month and can only bring one person (fictional or real) and one album with you.  Who do you bring and what album do you choose (keep in mind I said album, not song)? I’d actually probably bring my Dad.  My sister pointed out that he could probably build me a place to live for the month and make sure I had food to survive!  I don’t know any particular albums but I always loved Aerosmith growing up so probably something from them!
  1. Who do you consider your role model or inspiration and why? My parents have definitely been great role models – worked hard for everything they have.  And, have taught me to do the same.  But, I would honestly say patients I have had over time are the ones that inspire me.  It’s amazing to me that people can still smile despite the challenges they have gone through.  It definitely makes you appreciate what you have!
  1. What do you feel is the most important invention in the past 100 years and why? Again, hard to pick just one… Probably soap.  Although some people don’t seem to use it, it helps prevent the spread of germs (hand-washing) and generally makes you smell good (or at least better!).  Both are big benefits for anyone that comes in contact with you!
  1. What are your favorite sports teams (you can list all teams for all sports you are a fan of)? Not really a big fan of sports – sorry!
  1. What are your hobbies and interests outside of the box? Hiking, biking, taking care of my dogs/cats, home improvement projects, trying to find the perfect man, and spending time with my family and friends.
